Prayas NSUT

About Us

Prayas is the official social welfare society of NSUT, Delhi. A Delhi Govt. recognized project for giving educational support to underprivileged kids living near the NSUT campus. We hold workshops for slum children, organize collection drives, spread awareness about society's problems, interact with the poor, and provide technical solutions to them. Bit by bit, 'The Neighbourhood Project' has touched upon many lives in the past and will continue to do so in the future!

Vision

Every single step with the right motive in the right direction leads to significant differences. With this vision in our eyes and the earnest desire to address these issues gripping our society, we wanted to get the answers to the endless debates our own way! In the neighborhood project, through our small endeavors, we search for the answers to these questions.

Movie Screening

The aim of annual movie screening event is to entertain,inspire and motivate students by showing them some awesome movies

Collection Drive

Prayas volunteers collect used clothing items and books from students and professors that can be given to the needy and be reused!

Kriti

In Kriti, we conduct various fun activities for our students and children of various NGOs. They are given a platform to show their talent and earn prizes.

Diwali

In the pre-Diwali celebrations, we conduct various competions like poster making, card making etc, for our students and it is followed by special snacks to give them the feels of the festival!

Goonj

We collect essential materials like ration, clothes, etc from hostels, staff quarters and submit them to the Goonj NGO to help the needy people who have been hit by various natural disasters.

Orientation

We at Team Prayas encourage you to share your knowledge and experience with the children at Prayas who are unable to fulfill their dreams due to lack of resources.
